
MARCELLO PALMINTERI
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Marcello Palminteri is an art director and independent curator. His writings have been published in exhibition catalogues, monographs, and specialized journals. He has curated exhibitions for both emerging and established artists in Italy and abroad. Over the years, he has collaborated with several public and private institutions, including the Observatory for Contemporary Arts in Sicily, the Museum of Bagheria (PA), the University of Palermo, the Steri Monumental Complex, the PAN Palazzo delle Arti, the Teatro di San Carlo, the State Archives, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN), the Augusto Rancilio Foundation – Villa Arconati in Bollate (MI), the Arturo Vermi Archive, the National Roman Museum, the Italian Embassy in Montenegro, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Podgorica (Montenegro), and the Cafesjian Center for the Arts in Yerevan (Armenia). He works with galleries both in Italy and abroad, including JUS Museum in Naples (where he has been the artistic director since 2019) and Global Fine Art in New York. His research mainly focuses on abstract movements from the second half of the 20th century, particularly on the "Gruppo del Cenobio" (Agostino Ferrari, Ugo La Pietra, Ettore Sordini, Angelo Verga, and Arturo Vermi). He has also dedicated extensive research to artists requiring a historical re-evaluation, such as Antonio Scaccabarozzi and Franco Bemporad, and has organized exhibitions and written about them. Beyond visual arts, Palminteri has a deep interest in classical and experimental music, as well as the intersection between visual art and music. In 2014, he curated the exhibition of German painter and conductor Stefan Anton Reck at the PAN - Palazzo delle Arti in Naples, with contributions in the catalogue from figures such as Pierre Boulez and Alan Gilbert. In 2017, alongside Michele Suozzo, he presented "Note di colore: L'arte dei fratelli Montarsolo" at the Villa Torlonia Theatre in Rome, dedicated to painter Carlo and basso Paolo Montarsolo. In 2021, at the LVII Corciano Festival, he curated "Forma fluente", an exhibition of compositions by Marco Betta, Mauro Bortolotti, Sylvano Bussotti, Fabrizio De Rossi Re, Domenico Guaccero, Daniele Lombardi, Andrea Mannucci, Stefano Taglietti, and Riccardo Vaglini.
Palminteri has also taught Phenomenology of Contemporary Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts. For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, he curated the exhibitions "Mario Schifano. '70'80'90" (2015, Muzej Savremene Umjetnosti CRNE Gore, Podgorica), "Ugo Nespolo. Time after Time" (2017, Muzej Savremene Umjetnosti CRNE Gore, Podgorica), and "Ugo Nespolo. Florilegio" (2021, Cafesjian Center for the Arts, Yerevan). As an Art Director, he has overseen the creation of several publications for publishers such as Bayard, Libreria Editrice Vaticana, Piemme, Maretti, and Silvana Editoriale, as well as for the Vatican's Dicastery for Communication, museums, and various public and private institutions. Born in Busto Arsizio, trained in Palermo, and now based in Naples, Marcello Palminteri continues to make significant contributions to the world of contemporary art. ALESSIA MORETTI
MARKETING AND EVENTS
Born in Naples in 1998, Alessia Moretti has an interdisciplinary background that combines the arts, communication, and marketing. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, Music, and Performing Arts from the University of Salerno, she pursued a Master's degree in Communication for Businesses, Media, and Complex Organizations at the Catholic University of Milan, where she focused her thesis on territorial marketing and cine-tourism in film festivals. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in marketing, event planning, and communication. She worked with the Cultural Association Plana in Milan, developing marketing strategies and managing events, and with Minima Theatralia, a social theatre association in Milan, as an organizational and project manager. There, she managed digital communication, social media content, distribution of theatrical works, and identified growth opportunities for the association through grants and competitions. Currently, she works in the marketing and events department at Jus Museum, where she is responsible for managing exhibitions, archiving artwork, creating and promoting events, and actively participating in national and international art fairs and exhibitions.
PIERPAOLO RUSSO
MUSIC AND SIDE EVENTS
Born in Battipaglia (NA) in 1984, Pierpaolo Russo graduated in Medicine from the University of Federico II in Naples. Alongside his scientific career, he has a passion for artistic and musical research, focusing particularly on the history and promotion of Neapolitan musical heritage, with a special emphasis on sacred and operatic works from the 17th and 18th centuries. He contributed to the first modern performances of Mottetto pastorale in lode del SS. Crocifisso del Carmine and Il Tobia Sposo, a dramatic scherzo in two acts by Gaetano Veneziano (1665–1716). In 2017, together with Marcello Palminteri and Michele Suozzo, he presented Note di colore: L'arte dei fratelli Montarsolo at the Teatro di Villa Torlonia in Rome, a tribute to painter Carlo and bass Paolo Montarsolo. In 2019, he curated the Neapolitan presentation of The Farinelli Manuscript, a CD published by Glossa, featuring Hann Allenberg and the Stile Galante Ensemble, conducted by Stefano Aresi, at Palazzo Nunziante. His interest in multimedia, the web, and social media, and their cultural potential, led him to create several platforms to promote and share rare works of the Neapolitan School.
